NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Tennessee Department of Transportation is moving forward with Choice Lanes for the Interstate 24 corridor.
During a Thursday morning meeting, TDOT made decisions that will impact drivers, including adding “adjustable pricing.”
The new pricing model will be similar to how rideshare apps do “surge pricing,” when the price goes up because so many people want a ride. The Choice Lanes would have pricing based on congestion and the goal would be to maintain a reliable travel time and a minimum speed of 55 mph…
