10-year-old drives car home from Wilson County school, police say

WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A report of a stolen car with a child inside led to the discovery of a very underage driver in Wilson County Friday.

The Mt. Juliet Police Department announced just after 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14 that authorities responded to the reported vehicle theft at W.A. Wright Elementary School.

Officers quickly found the car and the 10-year-old at the child’s home, according to law enforcement.

After reviewing video from the school, officials said they determined the 10-year-old climbed into the driver’s seat and drove the car home after the parent went inside W.A. Wright Elementary.
