Tennessee Comptroller’s Office Marks 500th Fraud Investigation, Urges Local Residents to Stay Vigilant

The Tennessee Comptroller’s Division of Investigations has issued its 500th investigative report since it was established in 2016. These investigations have identified $51 million in fraud, waste, and abuse involving public funds and assets in the state. Nearly 1,600 criminal charges have been filed against individuals as a result.
