Correction Issued: Police Clarify that 16-Year-Old Ky-Mani Tindal Remains Missing in Murfreesboro

UPDATED: MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Murfreesboro Police released an update Tuesday afternoon (11/18/2025) regarding the search for a missing teenager, but shortly after, the department corrected its initial statement the following morning (Wednesday, 11/19/2025). Police initially notified local media that the missing teen had been found safe. However, after further review, MPD re-contacted WGNS and issued a clarification, stating: “CORRECTION… Juvenile Ky-Mani Tindal is still missing. There was miscommunication that the teen had been located.”

The teen, 16-year-old Ky-Mani Tindal, has been missing for more than three weeks. According to investigators, Tindal voluntarily left Siegel High School on October 28 and got into a white vehicle with an unknown individual. Police say no license plate information or identification of the driver is available.

At the time he went missing, Tindal was wearing light blue sweatpants with the word ‘Mario Bros.’ printed down at least one leg, along with a white T-shirt. He is described as standing about 5’9″ and weighing approximately 131 pounds. The teen has been entered into the National Crime & Information Center (NCIC) database as a missing-runaway. NCIC is a computerized database managed by the FBI and provides criminal justice agencies across the country with information on wanted persons, missing persons, stolen property, and criminal histories…
