No liquor, wine sales on Thanksgiving Day in Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Do you need red or white wine for your Thanksgiving feast? Brandy or rum for your eggnog? Be sure to buy it Wednesday, as you legally can’t do it Thursday.

Tennessee state law requires all liquor stores be closed on three holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and Easter Sunday.

Additionally, the law says all retail food stores—like Aldi, Kroger, Publix, Trader Joe’s, or Walmart—cannot sell wine on these holidays as well…
