Rutherford County data shows dip in people experiencing homelessness; nonprofit warns of more homeless families

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Rutherford County might have had a slight drop in the number of homeless people living there, according to data from Rutherford Thrives, the TN-510 Continuum of Care.

Every year, on a night in January, there’s a count of how many people are homeless, called a Point in Time count.

The PIT was 367 last year and dropped slightly to 349 people in 2025…
