Measurable snowfall possible in parts of Tennessee this week

TENNESSEE — A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for several counties in West Tennessee, with forecasters warning of a mix of snow, sleet, and ice that could create hazardous travel conditions Monday evening into early Tuesday.

The National Weather Service says the advisory will be in effect from 6 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday for parts of West Tennessee, including Lake, Obion, Weakley, Henry, Dyer, Gibson, Carroll, Benton, Lauderdale, Tipton, Haywood, Crockett, Madison, Henderson, and Decatur counties.

Cities within the advisory area include Union City, Tiptonville, Martin, Paris, Dyersburg, Humboldt, Milan, Huntingdon, Lexington, Jackson, Ripley, Covington, Brownsville, Alamo, Parsons, Decaturville, and Camden
