LA VERGNE, Tenn. —Nearly two decades after the decomposed remains of a former Connecticut woman were found, a La Vergne detective is still seeking leads in her murder.
“This is a homicide investigation,” Detective Steve Crotts said of the death of Mary Alice Maloney. “We are looking for anyone who may have known her. She doesn’t have much history here and so far we haven’t found anything in Connecticut, but you never know. She may have had a friend in Connecticut she kept in contact with.”
Her death was discovered on Nov. 14, 2007, when Officer Rob Hayes was out looking for an unrelated missing person in a wooded area off Hollingdale Road, Crotts said.
