SMYRNA, Tenn. (WGNS) – After more than two decades as a community staple, Hickory Falls Restaurant in Smyrna announced it will close at the end of December as its founders prepare to retire.
In an open letter posted to Facebook, owners Peter Kehayes, Mark Robbins and Paul Kehayes shared the news with what they called their “Hickory Falls family,” thanking the Smyrna community for 21 years of unwavering support.
“For the past 21 years the Smyrna community has supported us through thick and thin, and we will never be able to thank you enough,” the letter reads. The owners described the decision to close as “very personal,” noting that the restaurant has been far more than a business—“it has been our home, and you have been our extended family.”…
