NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A performance audit of the Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes Board has resulted in several findings, includingthe lack of financial strategies and a high turnover in nursing staff.
According to the Division of State Audit, the performance audit observed selected programs and activities of the TSVH from July, 1, 2022, through June 30, 2025.
Based on the review, staff at the Murfreesboro facility did not document and update the lists of residents’ personal property.

The Division of State Audit added that management at the Murfreesboro facility could not provide an inventory list of personal property for approximately 50% of their residents. According to the rules of the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission, “a record shall be prepared of all clothing, personal possession and money brought by the resident to the nursing home at the time of admission.”…
