Tennessee lawmaker pushing to give prosecutors more tools to pursue death penalty against child rapists

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Tennessee lawmaker is pushing to give prosecutors more ability to pursue the death penalty for those convicted of rape of a child.

State Rep. Greg Martin has introduced House Bill 1454 to expand the aggravating circumstances to allow for the death penalty to be sought against convicted child rapists in Tennessee.
