Man arrested after making bomb threat while attempting to rob bank in Tennessee

TENNESSEE — A man accused of making a bomb threat while attempting to rob a bank in the MetroCenter area was arrested Tuesday, according to police.

Officers responded to Fifth Third Bank on Rosa Parks Boulevard after receiving a call about a possible robbery. When officers arrived, they found Arianz Grant, 36, seated in the bank lobby with a black bag beside him, arrest documents state.

According to police, three bank employees reported that Grant stumbled into the bank and slid a note to two employees demanding money. The employees told officers that Grant repeatedly claimed there was a bomb in his bag and said he was “just trying to get some money.”…
