Man dead after crash on I-24 exit ramp in Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man died Sunday following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 24, marking the second deadly crash in Murfreesboro over the weekend.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a Lexus ES3 driven by 21-year-old Joseph Morgan was traveling east in the far right lane of I-24. Near mile marker 78, the vehicle reportedly crossed over a gore divider and onto the exit ramp before continuing across the lane and striking a tree on the far right side of the road.

Multiple people brought to hospital following Murfreesboro crash

Morgan died from his injuries. THP reports said he was not wearing a seatbelt prior to the crash.
