NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Get ready for a big weather shift as a powerful cold front is set to hit early next week.

Temperatures will stay in the mid-70s through the weekend, but late Sunday night, a cold front will bring sharply colder air, rain and possibly some winter mix.

The main story is the cold. Temperatures will plummet from the mid-70s on Sunday to the low 30s by Monday afternoon, marking a 40-degree drop in just 24 hours.

Early Monday morning lows will hit the mid to upper 20s, with the mid to upper teens expected by early Tuesday morning.
