Ink of Hope Act will require tattoo artists to complete human trafficking course

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Ink of Hope Act will require all licensed tattoo artists and operators in Tennessee to complete an up to one-hour training course on how to recognize human trafficking. The act will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2026.

The Ink of Hope Act will require all tattoo operators or tattoo artists who will hold a license on Dec. 31, 2025, to complete the required course by Dec. 31, 2028.
