Defense attorney chimes in after Tennessee DUI statistics unveiled

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — New numbers are shedding light on DUI arrests across the state, including cases where later tests showed no drugs or alcohol in an individual’s system at all.

“There have been so many arrests lately where the blood has come back zero alcohol, and no drugs, and no impairing drugs that I just can’t believe how many cases there are,” Attorney David Ridings described.

Those numbers are being highlighted following a law passed in May.
