Over 3 dozen earthquakes recorded in west Tennessee since July

More than three dozen earthquakes have been recorded in northwest Tennessee over the past six months.

According to KYTN, maps from the Center for Earthquake Research and Information shows over 40 tremors have been detected since July. Lake County had the highest number of recorded earthquakes at 34, with seven in Dyer County and two in Obion County.

The strongest recorded earthquake during the six-month period was 2.73 on November 9th. That quake was centered in northern Dyer County, near the Dyer-Obion County line…
