Whistleblower exposes hiring of convicted felon by Tennessee bonding company

GALLATIN, Tenn. (WZTV) — A whistleblower with Leanne Bail Bonds told FOX 17 News a convicted felon was hired to be a bounty hunter under Woodard Bonding, and now, she is sounding the alarm on the need for bonding companies to check criminal histories.

Leanne Freeman, the owner of Leanne Bail Bonds in Gallatin, Tenn., told FOX 17 news she is suggesting Woodard Bonding get suspended or shut down.

“Do you want a convicted felon coming into your house? And trusting that person to get them to jail safely?” asked Freeman…
