Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee declared a state of emergency in all 95 counties in Tennessee, ahead of the incoming Winter Storm Fern, which is expected to hit a wide swath of the country starting Friday.
State officials encourage residents to take proper precautions and prepare for the chance of snow, ice, freezing rain, and frigid temperatures across the state. At the time of writing, the order is set to take effect on Friday evening and remain in place until Sunday, Jan. 25.
The release goes further to state that several state agencies, including TEMA, TDOT, and THP, will be “working around the clock” assisting drivers, treating roads, and setting up emergency shelters…
