SMYRNA, Tenn. (WKRN) — There are now new restrictions on yard sales within the town limits of Smyrna.
At the most recent Town Council meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 10, Councilmembers unanimously approved the restrictions, which they say would help crack down on those turning their properties into “continual weekend storefronts.”
According to Town Planner Kevin Rigsby, the item is one that would “bring clarity” to yard sale regulations within the town. In addition to firmly defining what a yard sale is, the ordinance would restrict the sales to four times per year per address.
