Human trafficking investigation leads to arrest in Rutherford County

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — An undercover operation involving multiple law enforcement agencies led to the arrest of a man accused of engaging in human trafficking.

Following the operation. Jefferson Gomez, 21, was charged with one count of human trafficking for sexual servitude and booked into Rutherford County Jail on a $150,000 bond.

Officials said the operation also identified potential victims of human trafficking and connected them with resources through AncoraTN, the Nashville Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition, and others…
