April Hollingsworth said she had a special connection with animals starting at a young age, often taking home lost dogs and injured birds.
“I was finding them, bringing them home, nursing them back to health and finding them homes if needed,” said Hollingsworth, now the owner of Fabled Farm animal sanctuary in Christiana.
