TENNESSEE — A 17-year-old student was found with a gun at Riverdale High School in Rutherford County on Tuesday morning after the school’s weapons detection system alerted authorities.
School officials searched the student and discovered the firearm in the student’s jacket pocket.
The gun was confiscated, and the student was detained and taken to the Rutherford County Juvenile Detention Center. Charges are pending, and the student is expected to be expelled…
