TITANS detectives Thursday, during ongoing Precision Policing efforts, arrested six persons and served eleven outstanding warrants for crimes including aggravated assault, felony drug possession, and domestic assault. They also recovered two guns and seized 180 grams of marijuana, three grams cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
The two separate cases involving recovered firearms include the arrest of Lavellvo Washington Jr., 23, of Nashville, and Marco Webb, 45, of Murfreesboro.
When detectives attempted to stop Washington’s vehicle on Buena Vista Pike for speeding, he accelerated and fled. With the assistance of a police helicopter, Washington was taken into custody after spike strips were successfully deployed. Prior to stopping, Washington threw a firearm out the window. Recovered from the Jeep Grand Cherokee were 100 grams of marijuana, baggies, and a digital scale. Washington is charged with weapon possession with intent to commit a dangerous felony, felony marijuana possession, possession of a firearm with a domestic violence conviction, and evading arrest.
