KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Three Tennessee cities are now finalists to win a project from the Boring Company, founded by Elon Musk, and two of those are located in East Tennessee.
In January, the Boring Company posted a call for pitches on social media, asking people to submit their best 1-mile tunnel ideas. The winner, officials said, would get their idea built for free.
