Tennessee officials flag ‘high volume’ of school threats in Rutherford County

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security reports that Rutherford County Schools has seen a high volume of school threats.

Just last month, two students at separate Rutherford County middle schools were arrested after being accused of making gun-related threats. A loaded gun was also recovered at Riverdale High School.

In Tennessee, threats of school violence happen more often than we think.
