Memphis, Tennessee – Drivers and residents across the Mid-South could face sudden severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings by late Sunday afternoon as a fast-moving line of storms pushes toward the Mississippi River Valley.
According to the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center and the NWS Paducah and Memphis offices, parts of west Tennessee, northeast Arkansas and southeast Missouri fall under an Enhanced Risk (level 3 of 5) for severe weather Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening. Meteorologists say storms are likely to organize into a solid west-to-east moving line capable of producing widespread wind gusts between 60 and 70 mph along with brief spin-up tornadoes.…
