L.L.Bean is hiking its way into Middle Tennessee, planting its first Volunteer State store at CoolSprings Galleria in Franklin on July 17, 2026, according to the company and local reporting. The 18,000-square-foot location will bring the Maine outfitter’s signature boots and outdoor gear to the busy Cool Springs retail corridor as part of a broader slate of openings next year.
According to Williamson Source, the new store will span roughly 18,000 square feet inside the mall. The company cited Franklin’s proximity to Nashville, its strong sense of community and easy access to surrounding outdoor spaces as key reasons for picking the site. The report notes that hiring information and grand-opening details are expected to roll out in the coming months.
Part of a bigger expansion
In a December announcement, L.L.Bean listed Franklin among eight U.S. markets set to get new stores in 2026, with July flagged as the target month for the Tennessee debut. The company framed the additions as a deliberate investment in brick-and-mortar retail and said the new locations will push its nationwide store count into the mid-70s.
