LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A person was arrested for aggravated assault and multiple drug charges following an incident in La Vergne Thursday.
According to the La Vergne Police Department, officers responded to an incident involving an armed individual along Murfreesboro Road on Thursday, March 19. The suspect had allegedly approached someone with a “makeshift weapon” and made threats.
Authorities said they quickly found the suspect at a nearby home and took him into custody without incident.

Law enforcement said they not only recovered the weapon used in the incident, but they searched the residence and vehicle, leading to the discovery of illegal narcotics and paraphernalia, including:
- Approximately 104 grams of suspected cocaine
- Marijuana
- Hydrocodone
- Multiple plastic baggies and a scale with residue
- A cutting agent consistent with wheat flour
