Brothers accused of stealing $25K worth of items from across Chapel Hill area

CHAPEL HILL, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two men, who are reportedly brothers, are accused of stealing over 50 items worth more than $25,000 across Chapel Hill and surrounding areas.

According to the Chapel Hill Police Department, Owen Woodard and Hunter Eagle were arrested last weekend “after officers discovered a large quantity of stolen property at the residence,” which is located along the 2200 block of Highway 99 in Chapel Hill.

Police said they found items including power tools, trail cameras, a Magellan cooler, a welder and numerous belongings reported stolen from victims within Chapel Hill and the surrounding areas.

The CHPD notified the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office during the investigation about stolen property linked to a theft on Finley Road, and the property owner confirmed the items were stolen from his home while he was out of state, according to the MCSO.

Officials said MCSO investigators were able to obtain and execute a search warrant at the property along Highway 99 and found “a significant cache of additional stolen property was located,” which was estimated to be over $25,000…
