MURFREESBORO, TN (WGNS) – A small storage shed fire on Veterans Parkway could have turned into something much larger Saturday afternoon, but a fast response from Murfreesboro Fire Rescue kept it in check. Crews were dispatched after reports of a shed burning near a detached garage, and firefighters arrived to find flames beginning to spread toward the larger structure.
Shed fires may sound minor, but they can grow quickly. These small buildings often contain gasoline cans, lawn equipment, paint, and other combustibles that burn hot and fast. Once flames reach the eaves of a nearby home or garage, the fire can move into attic spaces and spread before anyone realizes what’s happening. That’s why early detection and quick reporting make such a difference.
Firefighters immediately began fire attack while simultaneously checking the detached garage to make sure the fire hadn’t already extended inside. Crews were able to stop the spread and fully contain the blaze. No injuries were reported…
