GALLATIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — A career criminal with a history of stealing from senior citizens, as well as active warrants in Tennessee and Kentucky, is back behind bars.
According to the Gallatin Police Department, Matthew Hicks met an 89-year-old Sumner County veteran at a grocery store. The senior claimed Hicks was complaining about locking his key fob in his car.
Hicks eventually befriended the 89-year-old, who said he gave Hicks several rides to various businesses, including a Toyota dealership. Then, out of the goodness of his heart, the veteran reportedly withdrew money from his bank and gave Hicks $900…
