TDOT ‘Choice Lanes’ could shorten commute from Nashville to Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Tennessee Department of Transportation said new toll lanes on Interstate 24 could cut the rush hour commute between Nashville and Murfreesboro to just over 20 minutes, but local leaders still have their concerns about the project.

“My preference would be that additional lanes be added to Interstate 24 that are full access lanes by everyone,” Murfreesboro City Councilwoman Jami Averwater said.
