Police recover ‘ghost’ AR-style rifle from suspects in serious armed robbery in La Vergne

LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Police on Tuesday say they recovered at least two weapons, including an AR-style rifle with no serial number, from multiple suspects believed to be involved in a “serious” armed robbery incident in La Vergne.

Police say they responded to the incident after the suspects reportedly displayed AR-style firearms and stole someone’s wallets and credit cards. They then fled the scene in a two-door red Infiniti.

Officers were able to quickly locate the vehicle and a pursuit ensued. During that chase, police said the suspects threw a firearm from the vehicle. Police then deployed spike strips, causing the vehicle to stop and multiple suspects were safely detained…
