West TN Regional Juvenile Justice Center gains $10M in TN funding

Editor’s Note: This story has been updated to reflect a correction. Madison County has secured $10 million in state funding for a new West Tennessee Regional Justice Complex for pre-adjudicated juveniles in a bid to address disparities in the region’s juvenile justice infrastructure.

The current, and outdated, Madison County Juvenile Justice Complex houses eight of the 10 beds in West Tennessee outside of Shelby County.
