Colorado man sentenced for West Tenn drug conspiracy

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A Denver man has been sentenced to federal prison for his involvement in transporting 58 kilograms of cocaine into West Tennessee last year.

According to information presented in court, on August 9, 2025, the Texas Department of Safety conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Erick Chaparro-Gamboa, 28, of Denver, Colorado.

After searching the vehicle, troopers found 58 kilograms of cocaine concealed in a speaker box. Investigators determined that the narcotics were destined for West Tennessee.
