MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Middle Tennessee community is outraged after a mother cat was found dead in a trap that a local animal shelter had placed in a drainage ditch during storms.
A woman in Murfreesboro posted about the incident in the city’s public lost and found pets Facebook page, saying she had reported seeing a mother cat and her kittens near the Dollar General on Broad Street on Sunday. She said that PAWS of Rutherford County quickly got back to her and that the group had placed trap out for them within a few hours.
