MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Despite temperatures in the 90s and a triple-digit heat index, visitors flocked to the beaches of the Grand Strand.
The high heat index and humidity did not deter beachgoers, with many telling News13 that they were at the beach specifically to cool off. People packed the beaches, with some spending their day in the ocean and others finding shade under the pier.
