New development proposes 372 homes for Hwy 905 area

CONWAY, S.C. — An already crowded Highway 905 could see even more traffic if the county approves a new residential neighborhood near the intersection of Highway 905 and Old Reaves Ferry Road near Conway.

The proposed development calls for 372 new single-family homes for the area. The documents submitted by the developer say traffic projections for the new neighborhood could be nearly 3,000 daily trips.

Called the Pine Ridge Residential Tract, the developer is looking to rezone 186.84 acres fronting Highway 905 and Old Reaves Ferry Road around and behind the former Horry County School building that sits on the corner.
