A break from triple digit heat

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Yesterday, the heat index in Myrtle Beach peaked at 108°, with a dew point of 80°, making it downright uncomfortable to be outside. This afternoon, the heat index was 97 degrees, so much better.

Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy, and temperatures will bottom out in the mid-70s. Tuesday and Wednesday will be the most comfortable days of the week. Temperatures will remain normal in the upper-80s and low-90s, but we will have a break from triple-digit heat as dewpoint will be in the upper-60s and low-70s.

Changes will come on Thursday as a large upper-level high pressure will strengthen to our north, keeping skies mostly sunny, temperatures hot, and rain chances very limited through the workweek…
