(WPDE) — Each month, WPDE ABC 15 recognizes an outstanding member of the community as a Carolina Champion. This month’s honoree is Sue McKinney, founder of Barnabas Horse Foundation, whose own journey through trauma inspired a mission to help others heal.
For many survivors of trauma, healing can seem out of reach. At Barnabas Horse Foundation in Murrells Inlet, that journey often begins with an unexpected partner — a horse.
