LORIS, S.C. (WPDE) — As of Wednesday, the City of Loris has activated its Drought Management Plan and Response Ordinance to manage the city’s water system.
The South Carolina State Climatology Office, along with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) Drought Response Committee, has declared a severe drought for the Pee Dee River Basin, which includes Horry, Marion and Dillon Counties.
