Veterans ride the waves during Wounded Warrior Surf Day in North Myrtle Beach

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — A group of veterans traded daily challenges for surfboards Tuesday morning during Wounded Warrior Surfing Day in North Myrtle Beach, demonstrating how healing can come in many forms.

The event brought veterans and their families together for a morning of adaptive surfing, fellowship and encouragement. Hosted through a partnership between the Wounded Warrior Project and the Adaptive Surf Project, the program aimed to help veterans reconnect, recharge and experience the therapeutic benefits of the ocean.
