MYRTLE BEACH, S.C (WBTW) — Temperatures are mild, and humidity is high as you head out the door this morning. Beach communities are starting in the mid-70s, while inland areas are waking up in the lower 70s. Expect partly sunny skies at sunrise, and overall, it will be a mostly dry day with only a slight chance of an isolated shower.
Much of this week will feature very dry weather as high pressure remains firmly in control. That same area of high pressure will also help boost temperatures. With September beginning tomorrow, highs will run above average, reaching the upper 80s along the beaches and the low to mid 90s inland.
Temperatures will stay consistently above normal through the workweek and into the first part of the weekend. By Thursday and Friday, heat index values will likely climb into the low 100s during the afternoon…
