HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A newly obtained report shows the man charged in a deadly Aynor-area motorcycle crash had a blood alcohol level well above the legal limit.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol charged Ryan Peavy, 44, with felony driving under the influence resulting in death and with hit-and-run, duties of a driver involved in an accident resulting in death in connection with a March 7 crash.
Peavy was riding the motorcycle east on 7th Avenue when he crossed the center lane and ran off the road to the left, according to a traffic report from the South Carolina Highway Patrol. He then hit a ditch, the report stated.
