CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) — If you hit the links with Carl Hallberg, a few things are obvious.
One, he’s the ultimate hype man. Words of encouragement like “you’ve got a good one there,” “that’s a great shot,” and “oh you got some power behind that,” are peppered in after every shot hit the three other members of his church group’s weekly foursome.
Two, he can play. In the time ABC 15 followed along, Carl nailed multiple 10+ foot putts, and once put it to within five feet of the fairway.
“Atta boy Carl,” his friend Ron cheered.
“It should’ve been longer!” Carl fired back.
