Magnolia’s at 26th, a staple for authentic country cooking on Ocean Boulevard for more than two decades, locked its doors Sept. 9 with only a note to break the news to customers and employees, some of whom have been on the staff since its inception.

“We are closed for upcoming renovations,” states the note taped to the entrance door at 2605 N. Ocean Blvd. “We will announce reopening dates in the early spring. Thank you, Management.”…
