HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – District officials say there is no single reason families are leaving Horry County Schools, pointing instead to a growing number of options available to families.
Lisa Bourcier, director of strategic communications for Horry County Schools, said families today have more educational options than in the past.
“…a lot of more school choices than what we had years and years ago. There’s more opportunities: homeschool, virtual school, charter school, private school. A lot of those options we didn’t have when I was growing up. I think competition makes us all great,” Bourcier said…
