MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Myrtle Beach community will welcome a new police chief.
Incoming Myrtle Beach Police Chief Frederick Chambers will begin his work with the Myrtle Beach Police Department on Friday.
Chambers will participate in a brief administrative swearing-in on Monday, with Chief Municipal Judge Glenn Ohanesian, where he will assume the duties and responsibilities of a police chief, the City of Myrtle Beach said.
Chambers has more than 26 years of law enforcement experience. He most recently served as a deputy chief with the Fairfax County Police Department in Northern Virginia.
