FIRST ALERT – Summer-like Friday ahead of wet weekend

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A summer-like Friday will give way to increasing rain chances through the weekend. Some beneficial rain is likely through Sunday night.

DENSE FOG ADVISORY FRIDAY MORNING

Locally dense fog will continue through the morning commute before burning off and giving way to sunny skies by mid morning.

SUMMER-LIKE FRIDAY

Friday afternoon will see temperatures warm into mid 80s near the beaches and into the upper 80s inland. A few spots in the Pee Dee could hit 90 during the afternoon.

The increasing humidity will make it feel even warmer and more summer-like.

WET WEEKEND AHEAD

The latest data continues to show and unsettled weekend with rounds of showers and storms and the chance of beneficial rainfall. Rain chances have been increased for Saturday. While it will not be a washout, showers and even some thunderstorms will be possible at anytime through the day.

Temperatures on Saturday will reach the lower to middle 80s…
